Euroa SES launches September membership drive.

By GEORGIE CARDILLO

September is recruitment month for the Euroa SES, and we are inviting new members from all walks of life to get involved.

The Euroa SES Unit has a proud record of serving our local community — whether on the frontline or behind the scenes — and we want to welcome even more families into our growing team.

Operational members respond to emergencies such as storm damage, flood, and rescue, working as part of a skilled crew committed to community safety.

Operational support members play a vital role organising logistics, communications, community education, and supporting our field teams.

Both roles are essential, and we make sure all members feel valued, regardless of their experience.

Prospective members must be 15 years of age or older; however, families are an integral part of our unit, and some of our volunteers have young children who are welcomed and supported at our gatherings and activities.

Volunteering with Euroa SES is a chance to give back, make friends, and develop new skills, with flexible options to suit family life.

If you are interested in joining or learning more, come and meet us at the Euroa Farmers Market on Saturday 20 September.

It will be the perfect opportunity to chat with our team, or else contact us at euroa@ses.vic.gov.au and see how you can make a difference in your own community.
