Déjà vu for return winner

By ANDY WILSON

It was once again Adrianne Moore's time to shine at the races as she won the Fashion-on-the-Field best dressed award at the Seymour Cup on Sunday, 12 October.

And shine she did, with husband Adam on duty keeping the Mansfield couple's young daughter under control when the field of eight divinely-dressed women took the stage for judging.

It is a frequent thing Adrianne revels in.

"I sort of try to enter as many as I can," she said.

"If I win or come runner-up or get Best Millinery, that's amazing.

"And if you don't, it's still just a really nice experience to get dressed up and have a day out, whether it be with my husband and family or whether it's with girlfriends."

Adrianne said she and Adam like to come out to the races for a bit of a flutter, although Adam is 'not really into the fashions that much'.

"We can bring the little one, and she can have a little bit of enjoyment - we make a day of it."

"There's not many opportunities you can really go all out with getting dressed up with regards to headwear, all the way down to a really beautiful dress.

"It's just a good excuse, so I like to make the effort when I can."

Adrianne has collected several best-afield titles over the years, adding something new each season.

She claimed top honours again in Benalla on 26 September, following her win at the same event last year.

She will next appear at the Mansfield picnic races on 4 November in her role as the club’s Fashion Ambassador.

Adrianne will be back running the Fashions on the Field sponsored by Delatite Wines for the Marks IGA Melbourne Cup Day races.
